This project involved a brand new entrance facade, designed with concrete and glass. This striking entrance also includes a wood and steel, floating staircase with an overhead propeller. The blue LED lighting plays beautifully on the large black and white wallpaper throughout the reception area. The first floor open plan offices were redone completely to include eye-catching woodgrain tile flooring and intricate carpet areas, divided by slatted wooden screens. Wooden furniture elements contrast well with elegant touches of different shades of blue. Large scale black and white graphics and frosted vinyl decals to the glass dividers finish the space off perfectly, while adding privacy to offices and meeting rooms.
The Denel stand for 2014 was visually captivating with large high gloss black and white display towers with invigorating, backlit graphic panels. LED banner screens framed the stand, while the blue led lights, visible throughout the stand, further drew in visitors. The stand also included an informal bar area and meeting rooms with intricate fitted carpets, full size black and white graphics and beautiful 3D wall paneling. The elegant, impactful furniture further added to the high quality finish of the stand. The outdoor stand comprised of a double storey structure with a glass facade and wooden deck. Meeting rooms and an interactive bar and cocktail area were the main attractions of this outdoor stand. The outdoor area was also made up excellently to host all large vehicles and weaponry. The Denel outdoor stand was once again awarded the best outdoor stand award. Denel also had a marquee at the expo, which was elegantly made up with slatted wood panel detailing, suspended exposed globe lights and enchanting solid oak dining tables with coir rugs. The outdoor area had an exquisite deck area overlooking the runway, with white umbrellas and comfortable outdoor furniture from which one could watch the airshow.
Adara is a one of a kind jewellery store based in Canal Walk, Cape Town. The soft round curves of the store walls and counter create an elegant flow; emphasising fragility, while at the same time the strength of a diamond or mineral stone. The ceiling detail features alluring fragmented blue perspex facets, reminding one of Tanzanite. The wooden flooring and wooden elements create a further softness, while the blue glistens throughout the logo and LED screens in the shopfront. With its black shopfront frames and track lights, combined with the subtle ivory finish of the interior, the store speaks of beautiful contrast, inviting one in to explore the exquisite jewellery inside.
The Landsystems offices were redesigned to include an inviting entrance and reception area with high-end executive offices on the first floor. From the natural cladding outside, to the beautiful walnut custom furniture inside, the space lures one in with its suspended exposed light bulbs, creating a play of light. Large black and white graphics create a big impact, while the woodgrain tile flooring lends elegance to the space. The auditorium was also redone with beautiful suede insulation panels, walnut elements and feature bulkheads creating a comfortable, yet professional environment.
The brief for this award-winning store was to create a store in which a small merchandise item can be displayed in an impactful way. The design is clean and uncluttered with elements of white contrasting with the bold use of the colour red. The large illuminated graphics form a striking backdrop to the merchandise, while the red leather ottomans blend in beautifully with the rest of the red elements in the store. The unique point of sale counter features a routered logo and playful lace dispenser behind. With its distinct design, the store won the Category D award for the Retail Design and Development Awards in 2013.
This Flagship Polo store is located in Sandton City and was completed in 2013. The shop features a magnificent cottage pane entrance facade with beautiful mounding details. The unique element about this design is the alcove details; all merchandise is precisely boxed in with 3D moulding detail around to create a sophisticated look. Brass chandeliers and warm wood architraves lend an authentic feeling to the design. Coir and pattern rugs line the floors with beautifully crafted solid wooden furniture creating cozy seating nooks. The store was awarded the runner up of Category D, for the Retail Design and Development Awards in 2013.
